Keston Perry

A political economist born in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Perry is specialised in Caribbean economic thought, climate justice and finance in the Global South. Working at the intersections with global finance and environmental crises, Dr. Perry’s work appreciates the ways in which global institutions and governing arrangements trying to cope with climate crisis marginalise, dispossess and devalue Black and racialized communities in the Caribbean. His recent critiques of the Green New Deal and the imperial nature and impacts of US climate policy appear in academic journals Development and Change and Politics. He is currently working on a book on Climate Reparations for Pluto Press.
