Prior to joining the Institute, Contreras held leadership roles developing marketing strategies and high profile events for companies such as L’Oreal, Starwood Hotels, Toyota Tsusho, Invista, Guess, IMG Fashion Week, and The American Apparel and Footwear Association, among others.
In addition to his role at the Institute, he currently volunteers and serves on the Leadership Council at Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS, where he is the Event Co-Chair.
Contreras received a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
